Three local athletes have sailed their way to the Mobility Cup national sailing championships in Halifax.
Brett Lyons, Kai Freeland and Nicole Flynn of Quinte Sailability competed in this year’s John Farrell Regatta, which is the Ontario Martin 16 championships hosted by the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club.
The Martin 16 is a sailboat developed for sailors with a disability. Lyons, Freeland and Flynn all finished in the top four in their resepctive events to qualify for the nationals.
