The Ottawa Senators have signed free agent forward Chase Balisy to a one-year two way contract. He will likely play for the AHL’s Belleville Senators.
The 26 year old Balisy will make $650,000 U.S. if he plays for Ottawa or $135,000 if he plays for Belleville.
Balisy spent most of last season with the Florida Panthers AHL affiliate in Springfield. He scored 14 goals and 21 assists in 67 games for the Thunderbirds. He also played 8 games for the Panthers but was scoreless.
Balisy was originally drafted by the Nashville Predators in the sixth round in the 2011 NHL Draft.
