Between the residents, Belleville firefighters, police, and EMS paramedics, damage was minor and there were no injuries after a fire at a house in east end Belleville late Monday afternoon.
Belleville Fire Department officials say family members were able to contain flames to one bedroom of their house at the corner of Victoria and Humewood Avenues and then were able to escape safely.
The damage was limited to just the bedroom and is estimated at $10,000.
The fire broke out shortly before 5 o’clock Monday afternoon.
