The Blair Smith Memorial Fishing with Kids Event has hit its milestone 10th year.
The free fishing tournament is held each year for kids up to 13 years old, with participants joining in a variety of activities.
Organizer Tammy Smith says as part of the event’s 10th anniversary, participants will be able to meet Canadian fishing professionals like Bob Izumi from Real Fishing Show and Mike Miller from Angler Hunter TV.
The event is held each year in honour of Smith’s late husband Blair Smith, who was a big supporter of fishing in the area.
The event is set for Saturday, August 18 at Riverfront Square in Trenton. Crafts, games, draw prizes, a live band and a drive-by, weigh-in from Fishing League Worldwide are just some of the activities that will be featured through the day.
