The Municipality of Brighton says CAO Bill Watson is officially leaving the job, following a lengthy leave of absence.
In a press release today, Clerk Candice Doiron says Watson is “no longer with the municipality” and that the town thanks him for his contributions and wishes him well moving forward.
Doiron says Gary King has been hired as the interim CAO and brings 35 years of experience in land use planning and senior management positions, most recently as the CAO of Peterborough County.
Watson took the job in 2016 and went on leave earlier this year for unspecified reasons.
