The organizer of Belleville’s Terry Fox Run is setting a challenge of her own.
Vicki Samaras is preparing to climb Mount Terry Fox in mid-August.
Mount Terry Fox Provincial Park, British Columbia
Samaras, who has organized the Terry Fox Run for a number of years, says she decided to climb the British Columbia mountain with her family, after her father died of cancer.
The 2650 metre mountain is in the Selwyn Mountain range.
Samaras told city council recently that last year’s Terry Fox Run raised $42,000.
This year’s event is set for the second Sunday in September,
