Chris Malette has thrown his hat in the ring in Belleville’s Ward 1.
Malette was a long-time reporter and retired editor of the Intelligencer newspaper, before going on to be Managing Editor of the Metroland Belleville News group.
He filed his nomination papers Friday afternoon and joins 13 others seeking a seat on council.
