Belleville council will again discuss choosing a contractor to provide electrical services to the city.
At the June 25 council meeting, a staff recommendation that council choose Horwood Electrical Services was deferred because of concerns that an email had been sent to members of council by one of the six bidders for the job not long before the decision was to be made by council.
There were also concerns about the pricing. Horwood’s pricing was not the highest or the lowest of the bidders.
At Monday’s council meeting, staff is again recommending Horwood Electrical Services get the job maintaining the company scored the highest in an evaluation and would provide the city the best value.
