A visitor to Joyceville Institution has been arrested after allegedly trying to bring drugs inside.
Assistant Warden Corey Beckstead says security intelligence officers, correctional officers and the detector dog team located packages on the visitor last Friday, which contained 78.3 grams of tobacco and 47.7 grams of marijuana.
The total institutional value of the drugs is $12,500.
The OPP Penitentiary Squad arrested the visitor, who may face criminal charges.
