The federal government is injecting some cash into the local arts scene.
MP Neil Ellis announced today that the Festival Players of Prince Edward County will get $15,000 and the Prince Edward County Chamber Music Festival will receive $10,000.
The money comes from the Canada Arts Presentation Fund.
The theatre money will be used for the upcoming series titled “Festival Players Presents”, showcasing a variety of dramas and cabarets performed in Wellington and Picton.
The festival money will support the annual event in Picton, featuring performances by Canadian classical and contemporary musicians.
