Belleville Police had their hands full overnight with the long weekend festivities.
Officers at 3:00 a.m. responded to a fight on Bell Blvd. where a man suffered injuries to the back of his head and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The man was allegedly assaulted with a folding knife that was closed at the time of assault.
A 29-year-old Quinte West man was arrested at the scene and later released with a November court date.
