Once again the issue of extending municipal water to 15 residents on Loyalist Parkway in Carrying Place is up for discussion.
Quinte West Councillor Jim Harrison asked council last night for the city to include half the cost of the over $400,000 dollar project in its 2009 budget, with the residents themselves paying the other 50 percent.
Residents usually pay the entire cost of water services… but the residents say the over 30 thousand dollar per lot cost is way too much.
Another public meeting will be held on the issue by Quinte West’s Public Works Committee.
