Brighton council will hold two special meetings this week.
The first is this evening (Monday) and council will hear a presentation from consulting engineers on options and costs involved in controlling ammonia levels in the municipal sewage treatment system.
Council might also approve a $600,000 contract for sludge removal at its large sewage lagoon.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, council will meet to discuss whether or not to close the Lawson Settlement Road CP/CN rail crossing.
Keeping it open would cost Brighton taxpayers $300,000 immediately and around 1.25 million dollars over a 10 year period.
Both meetings begin at 6:30 in council chambers.
