Belleville police chased down a shoplifter Wednesday afternoon in the city’s north end.
Police report a shoplifter had run away from store security at a Millennium Parkway business.
Officers caught up to a suspect near Highway 62 and arrested a 54-year-old Madoc man for theft.
About $750 worth of merchandise was seized.
The suspect appears in court July 26.
