Sunday brunch at Denny’s in Belleville was rudely interrupted after a vehicle jumped the curb nearby, hitting a pedestrian and then hitting and breaking a natural gas line.
The pedestrian was taken to BGH with minor injuries, but the restaurant and other nearby businesses had to be evacuated for a time while repairs were made to the gas line.
The incident occurred around 10:30.
Belleville police don’t anticipate laying any charges.
