The Hastings Prince Edward District School Board will pass its 2018/19 budgets at is meeting Monday night.
The operating budget for the school board is proposed to be $201.5 million, while the capital budget would be set at $17.8 million.
The operating budget for 2017/18 was close to $200 million while the capital budget was $23.4 million.
It’s projected that the board will have $1.5 million dollars in surplus in its new budget.
It’s estimated the school board will educate a total of 14,903 students in 2018/19.
