It’s steady as she goes when it comes to the hiring of employees in the coming three months.
ManpowerGroup, a global workforce solutions company, says its survey of Quinte region employers indicates that 7% of them plan on hiring in July, August, and September while all of the rest plan on maintaining their current labour force.
None of the respondents predicted layoffs.
Nationally, ManpowerGroup says the Canadian labour market is nearing capacity and larger wage gains might occur in months to come.
