Graphic details emerged during testimony in the Elizabeth Nugent murder trial in the GTA Thursday.
According to Inside Halton, Sergeant Dave Tutte took the stand in a Milton court.
He was on the scene October 27, 2014, the night the Belleville native was found dead in her Burlington apartment.
Forty-five-year-old Malcolm Copeland was charged with second degree murder, a charge he has pleaded not guilty too.
Sergeant Tutte says Nugent was found with serious neck injuries, along with a deep cut on her thigh.
Copeland’s lawyer says his client killed Nugent in self-defence.
