For the third time in as many years, 12-year-old Brianna DeMille of Trenton has qualified for the third round of Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit and Run contest in Toronto.
Brianna is a grade 7 student at Prince Charles Public School. She was the overall champion at the local and sectional competitions which were both hosted by the Quinte West Amateur Baseball Association in Trenton.
DeMille’s scores from the sectionals were compared to all others in Ontario. The top three were invited to Toronto to compete on June 16 at the Rogers Centre prior to the Blue Jays game against the Washington Nationals.
Brianna plays for the peewee house league Mudcats in Quinte West.
