A 25-year-old Quinte West man has been arrested as part of a three month long drug trafficking investigation.
The investigation, named Project Russet, involved the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, Belleville Police Service, Tyendinaga Police and the Toronto Police Service Guns and Gangs Task Force.
Chavez Anthony Singh, from Quinte West, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000.
A 25-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both from the Greater Toronto Area, are facing multiple charges.
Police say they executed seven search warrants in the GTA and Quinte West areas resulting in the seizure of approximately $21,500 in cocaine, a loaded 9mm handgun, a cocaine press, body armour and other items consistent with the sale of narcotics.
The accused were scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 5 in Belleville for bail hearings.
