A Prince Edward County man has been sentenced on drug production and weapons charges.
Fifty-four-year-old Andrew Rogers of Sophiasburgh ward pleaded guilty Wednesday to three charges involving drugs and firearms, with the remainder being withdrawn.
He was sentenced to five months and seven days in jail and given a lifetime weapons ban.
He’d already served 36 days in prison.
Last January Prince Edward OPP and specialized units raided a property on Bethel Road, seizing several guns, a large amount of marijuana and other evidence suggesting drug trafficking.
The value of the drugs seized was estimated at $100,000.
