Gleaners Food Bank’s Ride for Hunger is back for another year in Belleville, in a new location.
Due to the downtown construction, the fundraiser’s base has been moved from Market Square to Zwick’s Park.
Gleaners’ Director of Operations Susanne Quinlan tells us some of the things that will be a part of the event.
About 40 riders have registered for the 10th annual event, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday.
Environment Canada is calling for thunderstorms in the Quinte region on Sunday, so Quinlan says she and the other organizers of the event are “saying their prayers” for skies to clear and the event to go forward.
