Some local police officers will be hard at work today (Thursday), but not on the beat or patrolling in a cruiser.
Instead, they’ll be trying their hand at serving customers at the Lone Star Texas Grill in Belleville and elsewhere in the province.
The “tips” or “donations” the officers receive from customers will benefit Special Olympics Ontario, which promotes sports for people
with intellectual disabilities.
Police officers will be helping Lone Star servers today from 11:30 until 2 and from 5 until 9.
