If you’ve ever wondered what a public works department does and is responsible for, the City of Quinte West is opening up its public works department’s doors Wednesday, May 23.
The public is invited to tour the brand new 20 million dollar Quinte West Public Works Operations Centre on North Murray Street from 9 until 3 Wednesday.
There will be interactive displays, a hands-on truck-a-palooza exhibit and a BBQ.
The event is being held as part of National Public Works Week.
