Emergency services receive all kinds of phone calls on any given day, and Sunday night the Quinte West OPP received one that was alarming.
A caller said he’d watched a hot air balloon drop from the sky crashing somewhere in Frankford.
OPP responded, but there was no call to the fire department, and no other calls regarding what would have been a spectacular incident.
A hot air balloon was nowhere to be found.
The call came in shortly before 9 Sunday night.
