A traumatic scene unfolded in Belleville Thursday afternoon, after a man was killed when hit by a Via train.
Just before 12:00 p.m., multiple reports say one person jumped from the CN overpass on North Front Street, and was struck by an oncoming passenger train.
The victim succumbed to his injuries.
Train service was shut down for about four hours in the area.
