The Belleville Police Service responded to 51 calls for service between May 15, 2018 at 5 a.m. and May 16, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Shoplifting
Police were contacted and requested to attend a business in the north end of the city regarding a suspect in custody by loss prevention officers. The suspect left the business without paying for item in the shopping cart and was apprehended after leaving. Police arrested the suspect with a charge of the Trespass to Property Act.
Theft of Camper Trailer
Sometime within the last two weeks a camper trailer was taken from a Thurlow business. It is described as a Coachman Clipper camper trailer which was located in the parking lot. Investigation is continuing.
