The Hastings Prince Edward Poverty Roundtable is planning to host an Ontario election candidates meeting, focusing on the needs of low income people.
Statistics show that the percentage of low-income households in Hastings County is more than 16% and in Prince Edward County, almost 14%.
Roundtable spokesperson Ed Bentley says “poverty is the number one contributor to health problems.”

And he says access to transportation is also a major issue.

The Poverty Roundtable is partnering with the Community Health Centre to hold the all-candidates meeting.
