Belleville police are looking for a suspect after a small grass fire late Monday night at the intersection of Sidney Street and Bell Boulevard.
City firefighters had the fire out quickly. The call came in at 11:38.
Witnesses saw a male running near the scene and Belleville police are asking anyone with information to contact Constable Vandertoorn or Quinte Crimestoppers.
Meanwhile, a while later, at just before one o’clock Tuesday morning, a car hit a deer at the CP tracks on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
The car’s driver was not injured, but the vehicle had to be towed away. Apparently, the deer was not hurt.
