An unidentified man was pulled from the waters of Lake Ontario near the beach in Cobourg early Wednesday evening.
According to Northumberland News, reports came in about someone in the water around 6 o’clock.
A search began involving the Coast Guard, Cobourg firefighters and police officers, and a crew and helicopter from CFB Trenton’s 424 Squadron.
Around 8 o’clock, a man without vital signs was pulled from the water by personnel from 424 Squadron and rushed to hospital.
No other detail is available.
