A small cottage was destroyed by fire Tuesday night in Prince Edward County.
Firefighters from Consecon and Wellington halls responded to a property on Huyck’s Bay near
Bakker road at 8:30 to find the cottage engulfed in flames.
The owner had not yet returned for the summer season. No one was injured.
Prince Edward County Fire Chief Scott Manlow says about $50,000 damage was done.
The cause remains under investigation.
