Arrest on Warrants
On May 2, 2018 at 6 p.m. Belleville Police were contacted by the Toronto Police and advised they had arrested two wanted people for Theft Under $5000. Officers travelled to Toronto and returned with 20-year-old Toronto man Fernando Sardaru, and 20-year-old female Elisabeta Bita. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on April 11, 2018. They were observed on camera stealing merchandise from a local business. They were identified and warrants sworn for their arrest. They were held for bail hearings on May 3, 2018.
