A community improvement grant contest, run by a local insurance firm, is back for another year.
The McDougall Family Fund contest will award $5,000 to a deserving community group to put towards programing, facilities, or other projects.
Last year’s winner was Spay Neuter Kingston, which is helping to shelter and fix stray animals, with past winners including Challenger Baseball, Queen Elizabeth Public School and the Wilno Community Centre.
To enter, submit a two minute video explaining your project, how it benefits the community and what your group would do with the money.
Applications will be accepted until May 14, with the top 10 selected by judges by May 18 and public voting between May 21 and 31.
A winner will be chosen on June 1 and you can click here for more information.
