Quinte West OPP are asking for witnesses, after dangerous road conditions were discovered near the Murray Canal swing bridge.
On Saturday morning, officers were called to Stoney Point Road, near County Road 64, where a large part of the asphalt was pushed onto the shoulder into a pile.
Officials say it was almost the width of the lane, and wasn’t done by natural aging or damage.
The poor road conditions were repaired immediately.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Quinte West OPP or Crimestoppers.
