Time is running out to give your feedback on whether or not the Bay of Quinte Remedial Action Plan should make a status change to one of the elements it’s overseeing.
In March BQRAP decided that the issue of beach closures had met all of the scientific criteria needed to classify it as unimpaired and the public comment window on that decision closes on May 3.
The group assessed Centennial Park in Deseronto, Kingsford Mills on the Salmon River, Frankford Park on the Trent River and Centennial Park in Northport and all of those beaches are meeting or exceeding the criteria set regarding beach postings and contaminant sources.
