A Tyendinaga Township man has received a suspended sentence after pleading guilty last week to a lesser charge of dangerous driving after a collision in March of last year.
A vehicle stuck a pedestrian on Dundas Street West in Belleville. The 29-year-old man who was hit was taken to Kingston General Hospital for treatment.
At the time, Belleville police charged the then 44-year-old Peter Gorman with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
While he won’t serve any time in custody, Gorman will be on 12 months probation and will have his driver’s licence suspended for a year.
