Mitchell Mandonca notched his second goal of the game to help the Wellington Dukes take game one of their OJHL Championship Series.
Wellington was on the road to begin the series.
The Dukes came out firing, scoring three goals in the first period to put them ahead early.
Teddy McGeen used the man advantage to open the scoring just over seven minutes into the game.
Mendonca put the visitors up by two and Geoff Lawson then found the back of the net while short-handed before the end of the opening period.
Georgetown answered back with two goals of their own in the second to bring it within one after 40 minutes of play.
The Raiders weren’t done yet as they put the puck into the empty net in the third period to send the game to overtime tied at 3-3.
Mandonca was able to find the net again just over four minutes into sudden death overtime to take the win.
Wellington was handed three penalties during the match, while the Raiders were assessed for two.
The Dukes were out shot 46-36 in the game.
Game two is set for Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. at Essroc Arena.
