Schools and workplaces around the Quinte Region are showing their support for victims of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy by wearing hockey jerseys today.
Employees at Hastings County gathered outside of the county building in Belleville Thursday morning for a group photo.
A tribute was also held at Belleville City Hall.
Mayor Taso Christopher spoke before a moment of silence.
Mayor Christopher said, “We are a big county but we are quite resilient.”
Even some furry members of the Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police showed their support for those affected by the Humboldt Broncos tragedy.
Police canines Seige and Jake wore their favourite hockey jerseys while officers stood alongside them.

Jersey day was spearheaded by a group of B.C. hockey moms in honour of the Humboldt Broncos.
