The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation has smashed through its fundraising goal for priority medical equipment.
Foundation staff announced today they brought in $341,000 during the Picture of Health and Re-Imagine campaigns, beating their goal by $22,000.
The donations purchased a replacement colonoscope and two gastroscopes, as well as a picture archiving system for the Endoscopy Department, along with updated heart monitoring equipment in the hospital’s Emergency Department.
$170,000 of the cash was also used to help upgrade the MRI machine at Belleville General Hospital, which cost a total of $1 million.
The foundation says the extra $22,000 raised will go straight into the 2018/19 campaign coffers.
