The Bancroft detachment of the OPP have been kept busy laying a number of charges over the past week.
In the late evening on April 4, officers responded to a break and enter complaint on Chemaushgon Road in the Town of Bancroft when neighbours observed a male party enter their neighbour’s house then quickly leave.
Police arrived on scene and saw the home had been broken into as a suspect entered and exited through the front door but left another door wide open.
The suspect was described as wearing a white/brown hooded jacket who attended the residence in a small grey/silver 2 door hatchback motor vehicle.

In the late evening on March 27, officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the Town of Bancroft on Hastings Street North.
Officers initiated a traffic stop and Roger Evans, 63, of Bancroft was charged with driving while under suspension.
The accused was released on a summons to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 1, 2018 in Bancroft Ontario.
In the late evening on March 26, police initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle on Highway 62 in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands.
Officers spoke with the driver, and found that he was breaching his conditions.
Cody Scrimshaw-Shewen, 29, of Wollfaston Township has been charged with: fail to comply with recognizance, fail to comply with probation order, two counts of driving while under suspension and driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 27.
In the early morning on March 25, officers responded to a theft of a motor vehicle complaint in the Town of Bancroft.
Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant who advised that a known male had taken the vehicle without permission and was breaching his conditions.
A short time later the vehicle was located at a business parking lot where officers initiated a traffic stop and placed the male under arrest.
As a result of the investigation, Leroy Keith Parker, 20 years of North Kawartha Township has been charged with: two counts of faiingl to comply with recognizance, two counts of driving while under suspension and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on March 26.
