Belleville Police were kept very busy Wednesday, and it was not just downed trees and power lines either.
Around 3:30 p.m., police arrested a woman for shoplifting at a north end mall.
The Brampton woman is being held for a bail hearing.
At the same time, officers arrested a man wanted on outstanding warrants.
He has been charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm, relating to an incident in late March.
Early Thursday morning, officers were called to a domestic incident in the downtown.
A 28-year-old Quinte West man was charged in the incident, and taken into custody.
