A new, unfinished homeless shelter project in Belleville is looking for community and builder support.
Grace Inn Shelter is holding an Open House and Information night next Wednesday, April 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 to discuss details of the build project and receiving bids for donations to help with the initiative.
Grace Inn Shelter will be a 21-bed emergency shelter for adults in downtown Belleville, with a special focus on dignity, community and mentorship, filling a major void in the city.
Michelle Stephens, treasurer of the board of Grace Inn, explains what the purpose of inviting contractors to the event is.
Stephens adds they are aiming for a September or October grand opening.
