A police pursuit near Kingston led to a collision between a train and a vehicle and arrests Thursday afternoon.
Around 1:30 p.m, a vehicle collided with a Kingston Police cruiser and took off, leading to the officers tracking it down near the train tracks on County Road 7 in Bath, where the three suspects were apprehended.
According to reports, police attempted to put a Stop Train Order out for CN, but couldn’t reach conductors in time before a Via rail train struck the suspect’s vehicle, which was sitting on the tracks.
Eventually, five suspects were taken into custody by police.
No injuries have been reported and an investigation is ongoing.
