The Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is looking at tapping into an untouched tourism stream.
Dug Stevenson, the executive director of the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board, told the Board of Directors at their meeting on Wednesday it’s a long term plan as they are looking at making boat cruises a reality here within the next five years.
He says this is a huge potential asset and is amazed there is nothing yet on the water.
Stevenson says the earliest they are looking at this becoming a reality is 2020 because many tour operators are already booking into 2019.
He says interest has come from Gananoque, the 1000 Islands and Kingston.
