The Municipality of Brighton’s council cost taxpayers just over $165,000 last year.
An accounting of salaries and expenses for mayor and council is part of the agenda package for Monday’s council meeting.
Mayor of Brighton Mark Walas earned slightly over $38,000, which included an almost $28,000 salary plus meeting per diems and expenses.
Councillors receive an almost $15,000 dollar salary plus meeting per diems and expenses.
Councillor Laura Vink was paid the highest amount at just over $24,000.
Receiving the least remuneration was Steven Baker at slightly over $19,000.
