A Belleville man was sentenced to 10 days in jail and two years probation for his role in an armed assault involving drugs in the summer of 2016.
Justin Hannah was found guilty of possession of illegal drugs, and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Other charges were withdrawn. He had already served 26 days in jail.
He was arrested after an argument between himself and a woman over a knapsack that contained marijuana, magic mushrooms and weigh scales.
A motorist stopped to help the woman, and Hannah hit that person with a pellet gun.
The woman involved, Abigail Thur, was earlier sentenced to 12 months probation.
