The Trenton Golden Hawks live to fight another day in the OJHL playoffs.
Steven Elliott’s goal at 10:53 of overtime propelled his team to a 4-3 victory over the Aurora Tigers to avoid elimination in Game 5 of the Northeast Conference Quarter Final.
Trenton got other goals from Chris Karabassis, Max Ewart and Tiger McDonald. Jonathan Pace recorded two assists and Will Rawski stopped 29 of 32 shots in net.
The G-Hawks are now down 3-2 in the series heading back home Monday night for Game 6. Game time at the Dunc is 7:30 p.m, CJBQ is on air for Need-A-Car starting at 7:20 p.m.
Meantime, the Wellington Dukes are on the road to Pickering today, looking to win a hard-fought series with the Panthers.
The Dukes lead the best of seven three games to two.
