Hydro One now says the outage was caused by “material failure” but the issue has been resolved.

UPDATE @ 1:30 p.m. : Hydro One now says the outage is affecting closer to 4,688 customers and have pushed restoration time back to 3 p.m.

There’s a large power outage ongoing in Trenton.
Hydro One reported the outage right around noon, on the east side of the Trent River and says it’s affecting about 3,500 customers.
Cause of the outage isn’t known but the company is expecting restoration around 2:45 this afternoon.
If you’re driving and come to a malfunctioning or non-operational traffic light, you’re reminded to treat the intersection as a four-way stop.
