The work of recruiting new doctors to serve patients in the Quinte West and Brighton areas begins in earnest this week.
On Monday, the newly formed Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee hired Quinte West resident Paula Mason as a Coordinator for the recruitment program.
Paula Mason has previously worked for the VON locally.
As part of her work, Mason will attend career days at medical schools, and organize tours and special events to attract more doctors to the area.
