It will be an emotional day in a Belleville courtroom when a 24-year-old woman appears for sentencing in a child abuse case. Magan Muir pled guilty to assault causing bodily harm, earlier this week, admitting to forcing her boyfriends 2-year old sons hands into a pot of boiling water. The court is expected to hear victim impact statements from the now 4-year old boy’s mother and others before the woman is sentenced. The incident occured in October 2006 at an Applewood Drive residence in west-end Belleville.
